*WARRANTY POLICIES ON NEW EQUIPMENT STAND AS THIS:

Standard Limited Warranty

Valued Customer,

Your new system comes standard with a one-year labor warranty and
a five-year manufacturer parts warranty.  Your thermostat comes
standard with a one-year labor warranty and a one-year
manufacturer parts warranty.  Compressor warranties vary from:
five, seven, or ten years and Heat Exchanger warranties are: ten
years, twenty five years, and lifetime as long as you own your home.
Compressor’s and heat exchanger's come with a range of separate
coverage. A1 American Heating & Air Conditioning will honor our
Ductwork installations with a lifetime warranty as long as you own
your home.
Extended warranties are available in 5 or 10 years so you don’t have to
worry about a thing. Parts, labor, and sales tax will all be covered in
extended warranty programs.
Please be aware that poor maintenance issues will void any and all
warranties.  Clogged coils are a 100% poor maintenance issue and will
void any warranty that you may have. Like any major investment, such
as an automobile, your new heating and/or air conditioning system
does require preventative maintenance. Routine preventative
maintenance is required to remain in compliance with the standard
limited warranty provided with your equipment purchase.
Your standard limited warranty does not cover routine preventative
maintenance, but covers component failures or other repairs not
associated with routine preventative maintenance.
Your standard limited warranty covers any and all parts within your
Heating and/or Air Conditioning system against manufacturer
defects.  Any misuse, vandalism, acts of nature, or poor maintenance
will not be covered.

Below is a quick reference on how to understand efficiency standards:

·        SEER - Stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) and
applies to central air conditioners and heat pumps. The new minimum set
on January 23, 2006 by the Department of Energy (DOE) is now 13 SEER.
The higher the SEER means the more cost effective the system will be
when in use.
·        AFUE – Stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) and
applies to heating products. The minimum set by the Department of
Energy (DOE) is 78% AFUE. The higher the AFUE means the more cost
effective the system will be when in use.
·        HSPF - Stands for Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF)
and measures heat pump efficiency. The new minimum set on January 23,
2006 by the Department of Energy (DOE) is now 8 HSPF. The higher the
HSPF means the more cost effective the system will be when in use.

Department of Energy Measurements and Standards

In 1992, the Department of Energy set up a system to measure
efficiency and established efficiency standards for the heating and
cooling industry. Your prior to 1992, unit can be inefficient and
wasting your energy dollars. Remember, no product can be 100%
energy efficient.

Actual savings on a new system depend on several variables: the
weather in your area, utility costs, the insulation and windows of your
home, the installation of your existing system / ductwork, and your
personal comfort preferences.

Generally, if you live in a hot climate, you may benefit from a higher
SEER cooling unit. If the cold outlasts the warm weather and you have
above average fuel costs, you may need a higher AFUE furnace.
